Two bedroom, two bathroom top 4th  floor A/C apartment in the Vila Marachique Resort. Gigantic pool and gardens wow views over Alto Golf the mountains and sea and just a short walk to Alvor. The  owners are a couple not some mega renting firm. I will meet you when you arrive whatever the time and show you around. The wine bar is always full and the fridge has basic necessities.We really care.

Conditions

Linen and towels provided. Please bring beach towels. Cleaning at the end of the rental period or by prior arrangement. Reservations by mail but confirmation is secured only with a 25% deposit preferably by bank transfer. The remainder 8 weeks before arrival please. A 200 UK Pound cash deposit too on arrival when you confirm that the flat is perfect. This is in case of misuse or serious damage which will be returned to you on your departure. I will also need to know the number and approximate ages of the party at reservation. The flat is ideal for families from 4 up to 6 guests including children. It is NOT for all night partying.  No single sex groups thank you and no smoking.

Changeover Day

Any day that fits in with the bookings calender but Saturdays are the prefered day during peak season.

Outside

The Marachique Complex is a new resort built on the highest ground around and consists of 8 low lying apartment blocks surrounding a football field size parc with exotic shrubs and palm trees. In the middle is the envy of the whole of Portimao, a lagoon size swimming pool and pool bar and children's pool. This is the epicentre of the complex where people meet and make friends or renew old friendships. Reception at the entrance to the complex also has a bar cafe. Each apartment has voice intercome entry and there is a cool underground garage below and outside the building parking everywhere for cars. The empty giant terrace just above the flat has great views and BBQ if needed. In all the flat has 3 balconies all child proof 4 outside tables 16 chairs and 2 sun beds. Alto Golf Club House is a leasurely 10 minutes walk away. 

Beach

The nearest beach is Praia dos Tres Irmaos 1,3 km away . However this part of the coast has some of the most beautiful beaches in Europe all very different. They start with Praia da Rocha a huge sand plain with a wooden promenade beach restaurants and rows of parasols and sun beds.This leads onto the more secluded Praia do Vau and then the magic caves and coves of Joao Arens Prainha and Tres Irmaos and ending with the rolling sand dunes of Praia do Alvor - a total of 10 km or more. As if the sun sea sand and sangria were not enough water sport activities include Slide and Splash BBQ cruises grotto trips Zoomarine paragliding fishing surfing sailing diving and yachting : also safaris bird watching hiking golf tennis sightseeing. During the day there are festivals exhibitions and international competitions. Each evening there will be something going on somewhere - it never stops.   

Distance to Shops

The nearest shop is a 5 min walk,  Alvor down the road has a wider choice including a new super market Pingo Doce but Portimao 6 km the other way is the retail capital of the Western Algarve.It now has 6 commercial centres and  super markets Pingo Doce Continente Le Clerc etc. We are all spoilt for choice. No more queues. The nearest restaurant Por do Sol is 1 min away on the other side of the road. It is excellent value for money. Other good close by restaurants are Xicos Hof van Holland Vau Costa Kottemisse and of course the vast selection that Alvor has to offer.

Directions

Leave the Faro Airport Complex and after about 2 km turn right following blue sign for PORTIMAO. Continue following direction PORTIMAO until you join the A22 Highway. Continue along the A22 for about 40 minutes until you reach the Alvor turn off the 1 after Portimao.Leave the highway and follow the signs for Alvor past the aerodrome until you reach the Alvor roundabout .Take the last turn off. Continue up the hill under the footbridge past a petrol station until you reach the restaurant Por do Sol .Turn right and right again. You are at VM reception.

Bedrooms: Main bedroom with double bed and makeup corner for madam has mirror fitted wardrobes TV and sliding doors to the balcony with views over Alto Golf greens. All doors and windows are protected with shutters.2nd bedroom next door has TV 2 single beds mirror wardrobes and views.
Bathrooms: The main bathroom is en suite and has the usual WC bidet bath and basin. 2nd bathroom has eveything with a shower instead of a bath.
Kitchen: Open plan. Every possible appliance including coffee machine and toaster. Very large table for 6 with views over Alto Golf.Sliding doors to kitchen balcony and access to utility room with dish washer washing machine clothes drier fishing net cleaning equipment ironing board.
Living Rooms: 2 sofas and 1 sofa bed for youngsters to watch TV and sleep on.For amusement and comfort there are games books cable TV with 70 channels DVD CD radio a HP Presario computer a well stocked wine bar and a giant AirCo. The room ends with large sliding doors to a balcony with views over the mountains and Portimao and the pool.The flat is flooded with light from its 3 balconies and 2 windows.
Cleaning/towels/linen/maid service: Everything for apartment use provided. Maid service by prior arrangement.
