Via Algarviana

The trans-Algarve eco-route was officially inaugurated on Friday 22nd May 2009.  The Via Algarviana guide will be available on the internet, at tourist information offices and from hotel reception desks.  Click to view the website.

Hundreds of signs have been erected along the route to guide tourists and walkers unfotunately vandals have already destroyed or removed many of them.  A plan for maintenance and security of the over 240 kilometre long path is being drawn up.
